The paramount ruler of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun has eulogised an education guru in Osun State, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole, describing him as a rare breed and unusual lover of traditional institutions.

Oba Olanipekun rendered the encomium on Kolawole at his palace yesterday in Osogbo, the state capital while conducting the official installation of the veteran educationist as the Atorise Eko of Osun.

The front line monarch narrated the Oluomo of Modakeke’s sterling performance while in the State civil service and stressed how he used his good office to positively impact the lives of his subjects and the state traditional institutions.

In his words, the Osun monarch said “there is no traditional ruler in Osun particularly Osogbo and environs that can neglect you because there is none you didn’t give the deserving respect”

“We have a number of our children that have been blessed through, this among many others informed our decision to bestow on you this chieftaincy title”

“On behalf of Ataoja traditional council and Osun monarch in general, I install you Atorise Eko of Osun”

Oba Olanipekun reinstated his believe that the Oluomo of Modakeke is destined for higher responsibilities and offered prayers for him and his heartthrob, Alhaji Mujidat Kolawole.

Dignitaries across all walks of life were at the installation among which were Senator Ajibola Basiru, Senator representing Osun West, and spokesperson of the Nigerian Senate, traditional rulers, chiefs, senior government officials, etc.

It will be recalled that the 10th anniversary of the monarch on the throne of his fore-fathers commenced on Monday with different programmes while the last leg was held at the Osogbo-city stadium today with had many traditional rulers across the South Western States including Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi , senior government officials and the Governor of Osun, who was represented by his deputy, Gboyega Alabi.

It is worthy mentioning that, the Oluomo of Modakeke was the only one that was so honoured today by the Ataoja of Osogbo in commemoration of his 10th anniversary.
