No fewer than 11 persons have died in road crashes in Plateau and Niger states.
Eight persons died while two were injured in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Saturday.
Peter Longsan, Route Commander, Public Enlightenment Officer, of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Plateau State Command, said the crash, which happened at about 3p.m, involved a Toyota Hiace bus and a Honda Pilot vehicle.
Two injured persons were taken to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), where the bodies of the deceased were deposited.
Three persons were killed, while four sustained injuries in the Niger crash which happened at Gunu village in Munya Local Government Area of Niger on Friday.
Sector Commander of the FRSC in Niger, Mr Kumar Tsukwam, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna yesterday that the accident involved a commercial bus and a saloon car.
“Seven persons were involved in the accident; three of them died, while four others sustained injuries,” he said.
