In what could be described as a posthumous adoration, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV has said mother of the immediate past Governor of Osun State, Alhaja Wulemot Oyetola’s soul didn’t depart twelve years after death, saying Mama’s godliness remains a blessing.
The monarch who joined Oyetola, his wife, Kafayat and many other prominent individuals at the 12th Remembrance Anniversary held in Iragbiji on Monday, eulogized Oyetola’s mother for living what Aragbiji described as “a godly and virtuous life.”.
“Twelve years after, our hearts couldn’t leave Alhaja Wulemot Oyetola alone, as her goodwill and motherliness had really endeared her to so many people before her departure. We missed her kindness, generosity, piousness and motherly goodwill.
“Today, we prayed for the repose of Mama’s soul which we believe continues to rest as it lives, as to live in the hearts of those we love is never to die”, Oba Olabomi eulogized.
While his eulogy lasted, Kabiesi solemnly identified with Oyetola on the occasion of the death anniversary of his mother, saying the ex-state helmsman is an offspring of virtue, modesty and godliness which Mama personified.
Oba Olabomi added: “We thank God for a good life well-lived, and thank Him even more for the lives of all her children, especially Adegboyega Oyetola, whose four -year term as Osun State Governor remains evergreen .”
In attendance at the remembrance prayer led by the Chief Imam of Iragbiji, Alhaji Ibrahim Oyewole with other notable Islamic Clerics, were many of the ex-cabinet members, among other dignitaries.
