2023: Peter Obi Reacts To Atiku Emergence As PDP Presidential candidate

Former governor of Anambra State and presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, has congratulated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar on his emergence as the party flag bearer in 2023 presidential election.

Atiku won the party’s primary on Saturday, by 371 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, who poled 237 votes, while a former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, scored 70 votes.

Peter Obi who was running mate of former vice president in 2019 general election dumped PDP few hours to the convention of the party to the Labour Party for his presidential ambition.

Obi who took to his Twitter handle to congratulate his former boss on his victory at the presidential primary.

According to him, “On behalf of my family, I sincerely congratulate my leader and dear elder brother, H.E @atiku
, on his emergence as the 2023 presidential flag bearer of the
@OfficialPDPNig.

“I pray that the Almighty God who sees your goodness will continue to bless you now and always. -PO” he said
