Grammys: Organisers Pick Laycon As Speaker

BBNaija ‘Lock Down’ winner Laycon has been selected as a speaker by the organisers of the 65th Grammy awards

Born Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba, the 28-year-old rapper will be joining other speakers on Instagram Live on Thursday, October 13 on the theme: ‘Your vote, your voice’.

He tweeted: “My people, I know it’s been a while. Join me tonight at 11pm on Instagram with the @RecordingAcad. See you there!!!”

Last year, Laycon, was one of the artistes that performed for the Grammy’s Recording Academy.

He delivered a brief and impressive performance of his single ‘All over me,’ backed by an African-themed band premiered on July 1st, 2021.

In June 2022, the rap artiste with Praiz and Oxlade officially became members of the 2022 class of the Recording Academy.

The trio with over 2,700 music professionals from wide-ranging backgrounds, genres, and disciplines around the globe received membership invitations from the academy.
