2023: Atakumosa East APC Members Charged On Door To Door To Canvas For Party Candidates

The Atakumosa East All Progressive Congress (APC) Leaders and members have strategized modality to amass votes for the election bids of the party presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Osun East Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Israel Famurewa to have a landmark victory at the poll.


The Leaders made this known on Tuesday in Iwikun at a meeting organized by the Grace Group, a sub-group of the party, with members converged at the meeting across the wards in the local government.

According to one of the organizers, Hon Segun Olanibi, a former commissioner, said it is time for the party members in the area to come together as one to work for the victory of the party presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Engr Israel Famurewa and shunned any form of divisibility.

He charged members to be up and doing as the poll remains some days to go.

“Go out door to door to canvas votes for Asiwaju and Famurewa so as to get the expected winning results after the election would have announced on Sunday

The occasion was graced by notable personalities, among who were the Chairman of the group, Alarobole of Arobole, Oba Abimbola Ogungbe, former Commissioner For Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon. Taiwo Akeju, former Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs Osun State,Hon. Segun Olanibi, Two times Member of House of Representatives in Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr Israel Famurewa, Hon Busuyi Makanjuola, immediate past Chairman Atakumosa East Central LGA and Hon Princess Foluso Adekoya, former Chairman Atakumosa East LGA lperindo , amongst others leaders among others.

In the gathering, members were sensitized on how to canvas and amass votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Hon. Israel Famurewa in all the wards.

Speaking, former commissioner of Hon. Segun Olanibi welcomed everyone to the event and charged members to be up and doing as the poll remains some days to go.

“Go out from door to door to canvas votes for Asiwaju and Famurewa so as to get the expected winning results after the election is announced.

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed made APC to take over power from PDP in Osun through court judgement in the year 2010 and this is time to pay him back with votes.

“We are complaining that the bandits are killing us, kidnapping is everywhere in our land, the only way we can put a stop to all these attacks is by voting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become the next president of Nigeria.

“It is the turn of Yoruba region to produce the next president.Don’t sell your future because of money, vote wisely,he added”.

In the same development, former Commissioner For Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon. Taiwo Akeju , described Engr Famurewa as a gentle man and pastor who always love to ease the pain of the common man on the street.

Akeju said: “Famurewa is a pastor and a gentleman who always love peace and tranquility to reign wherever he finds himself.

“He is a kind hearted man who always gives succour to the vulnerable in his area.

“He is loyal party man with the spirit of sportsmanship, full of integrity and a trustworthy fellow among his contemporaries.

Speaking on the presidential election, Akeju urged the people of the state to vote massively for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying “Tinubu is credible, cerebral and a democrat whom I have known since 1990 during the SDP era

He further said, I have worked closely with him at d National Assembly between 1992 and 1993.

“Myself and Tinubu were arrested in 1994 by military government of Sanni Abacha, detained together alongside Ola oni , Beko Ramsome Kuti and subsequently tried for Treason and Treasonable felony at d federal High Court Lagos. Asiwaju is capable and he will take the country to a promised land, he said .

However, in a bid to show the level of their commitment towards ensuring victory for Hon Famurewa electioneering campaign, Atakumosa East APC Leaders and members donated some cash to Engr Famurewa to strengthening his political expenses in order to make his electioneering struggle a victorious one.

In his speech, Engr Famurewa thanked the organizers of the event and the entire members of APC Atakumosa East Local government area for the financial donation towards his political exercise, assured the people of dividend of democracy when he secure his victory at the poll.

Famurewa also charged those who will work as party agents in the course of the election to be vigilant in checking the BVAS machine very well and ensuring it displays zero number on the screen.
