2023: I’ll prioritize Youths And Capital Development, If Elected – Rotimi Makinde

The Former 7th National Assembly Member, Hon. Rotimi Makinde, has promised to prioritised youths and capital development, if elected for Ife Federal Constituency in 2023 National assembly general election.

Makinde made the pledge during the Press Conference organised on his official declaration of ambition, on Tuesday, at Oodua FM Station, Toll Gate Area, Ile-Ife.

He said that his agitation to be their representative at the National Assembly would not be do or die affairs, charged politicians to eschew violence that can destroy lives and properties, saying cannot afford to miss any of his Electorates.

Makinde adding that citizenry had jointly made a clarion call on him to represent them in the coming 10th Assembly because of the currently facing challenges like: unfulfilled expectations, frustration, cluelessness, sometimes disillusionment among others.

The Politician maintained that his coming back to the office will bring their tendencies together and unite his constituents as well as bring governace even closer to his people and would yield positive and fruitful change for their well being.

The Former Representative promised that if he’s chanced to be elected second time, he would fulfilled the purposes of establishing the House of Representatives by being his people’s voice, champion their cause, fulfilled their hopes and aspiration.

“I’ll also extend my commitment to galvanizing my constituents irrespective of tribe, religious background or political persuasion.

“There’s so much work to be done by way of legislation in many areas of our life including, but not limited to education, health, power, infrastructure and alleviation of poverty and socioeconomic empowerment among” He expressed.

“I have the requisite experience matched with wealth of knowledge to offer quality representation to my people and to facilitate Federal presence to my consistency with the primary aim of making life more abundant for my people socio-economically.

” I consider it a golden opportunity and a great chance to display my courage, rekindle my innovative instinct, showcase my character and turn the Great Ife’s dream into reality as a ranking Federal Lawmaker.” He stated.

He commended Gov Adegboyega Oyetola, for his unwavering support for him in all ramifications as well as congratulated Sen Iyiola Omisore, the National Secretary of APC party, pledged his support for the duo to succeed in their various offices.

Makinde assured maintaining peaceful coexistence amidst the people of Ife and Modakeke with other local governments at home and abroad if get to the post and would champion settling whatever dispute between the duo amicably so as not to witness any bloodshed again.

“Nigeria must and will be great again, no matter the vicious wishes of the opposition; with the prayer and support from all well meaning citizenry including the media, we will change this country for good.

“We will create a country that will truly be the pride of the Black race; APC will surely create a new Nigeria for all Nigerians. And I assure the people of Ife that a vote for me as their Representative at the National Assembly is a vote for positive and fruitful change for their well-being.”he
