The Youth Wing of Osinbajo Grassroots Organisation, Osun State Chapter, has urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to adopt the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as the party’s flagbearer for the 2023 general elections.

In a statement on Friday, Comrade Miftah Saheed, the Coordinator of the Youth Wing of the organisation in the state, said feelers so far across the country indicated that Prof. Osinbajo is loved by most Nigerians and has their support for the election.

Saheed said events of the last few days since the Vice President’s declaration pointd to the fact that most of the nation’s citizens have confidence in the capacity and the ability of the Vice President to make Nigeria great again.

The Youth Wing of Osinbajo Grassroots Organisation contended that the presidential hopeful is the best among the presidential aspirants in terms of problem-solving spirit, competence, sound mind and body, intellectual prowess, professional, adminstrative and political experience to lead the country to its dreams.

“From our findings, it is established that Prof. Osinbajo’s declaration received the support of the vast majority of Nigerians. The general electorate have confidence in the ability and capability of the Vice President to make Nigeria a great country. One astonishing fact is that the VP’s acceptability transcends his religion and political party, APC and Western Nigeria where he hails from. We have observed that Prof. Osinbajo is a choice of the people and on that note, we welcome his declaration to take a shot at the highest political seat of the country.

“Prof. Osinbajo is a refined politician, visionary and calculative leader; a promising presidential aspirant and a harbinger of hope. APC will be making a right, thoughtful and patriotic decision by fielding Prof. Osinbajo for the 2023 presidential election.

“His days of Acting President whenever President Muhammadu Buhari was not in the country speak about his leadership acumen. We urged the APC to make good use of Prof. Osinbajo by ensuring that the party’s presidential ticket is given to him.

“The nationwide popularity and acceptability of Prof. Osinbajo will definitely ease APC the stress of winning the 2023 presidential election.

“We also note that Prof. Osinbajo is politically, religiously, morally and geographically favoured to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.”

The group held Prof. Osinbajo will no doubt deliver good governance, stressing that the APC should choose a man that is fit and a candidate to beat.
