Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has hinted at running for the Presidency in 2023.
Saraki dropped the hint while reacting to a follower who urged him to rescue Nigeria.
In a post on his official Facebook, the former Senate President urged Nigerians to work with him as he pushes for the Presidency.
The post reads: “Earlier, I replied to a follower of mine on Twitter, who like thousands of you have been clamouring for a united front to #RescueNigeria.
“As we prepare for the journey ahead, I hope we can all join hands to get the ticket of our great party, PDP, and build a nation that works for all of us.
“Join me to make our communities safer and provide real opportunities for you and your families. I have a strong record of delivering and experience in making tough decisions.
“Let’s build a new Nigeria that works for EVERYONE!”
Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a number of eminent Nigerian politicians have declared their intention to run for president.
Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC; Ebonyi Governor, Dave Umahi, Senate Chip Whip, Orji Kalu and former Imo Governor Rochas Okorocha, have all shown interest in the presidency.
There are speculations that Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President, may also declare his Presidential aspiration soon.
