EPL: Why Man Utd Players Struggle Against Southampton – Ten Hag

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has admitted his players may struggle to play at high energy against Southampton.

The Red Devils play their 44th game of a congested campaign on Sunday.

They will be looking to bounce back from their 7-0 thrashing in the hands of Liverpool when they host the relegation-threatened Saints.

Ten Hag’s men are still competing for four trophies this season.

After the Southampton game, they travel to Spain on Thursday to hopefully book a place in the Europa League last eight against Real Betis, before taking on Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

“When the season comes to an end, it’s going to be even more difficult for every team because the pressure will be higher and higher.

“You need character, determination, resilience and a team with personalities. It demands a lot of energy,” Ten Hag said.
