INEC presents certificates of return to Kaduna Governor-elect, 29 elected lawmakers

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday presented certificates of return to Kaduna Governor-Elect, Senator Uba Sani and his Deputy Dr Hadiza Balarabe.

The National Electoral Commissioner in charge of Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarawa and the FCT- Mohammed Haruna presented the certificates of return to duo the Governor and Deputy Governor-elect respectively.

While, the Administrative Secretary of INEC, Kaduna State-Mohammed Ahmad Mashi presented the Certificates of Return to the 29 elected State House of Assembly Members.

Speaking shortly after receiving the certificate, the governor-elect said today’s event marked an important milestone in his life.

While thanking the people of the State for voting for him to run the affairs of the State, he noted that he would govern the state with the utmost sense of responsibility and fear of Allah.

According to him, as he takes charge in a few months to come no part of the state will be neglected, saying,” Either you voted for me or not you will be given sense of belonging irrespective of religion, ethic and political affiliation and where you come from”

He also called on his fellow contestants to join hands with him in moving the State to greater heights, noting that, “politics is over. What is paramount now is how you will help in building a new Kaduna state where everyone will have a sense of belonging”.

While congratulating all members of the State House of Assembly elect, he assured them together they will work to build a New Kaduna.
