Serena Williams in rare outing with husband Alexis Ohanian and daughter after Met Gala

Serena Williams, 41, enjoyed a family stroll around New York City yesterday following the glitzy Met Gala 2019.

The tennis ace stepped out with her husband Alexis Ohanian, 40, and their daughter Alexis Olympia, one, to run some errands in the city.

The sports star, who was casually dressed for the outing in black cropped jogging bottoms, trainers and a coordinating jumper with stars on, looked a world away from her appearance at the annual costume gala the night before.

Her husband of almost two years matched her laid-back look in denim jeans and trainers, which he teamed with a dark T-shirt and brown suit jacket.

Serena, who wore a red bag across her body, was pictured holding hands with her adorable daughter as she walked along the pavement.

The cute youngster, who has her own Instagram account with 572,000 followers, was dressed head-to-toe in pink for the family day out.

At the Met Gala, Serena had wowed in a bright yellow Versace gown which was embellished with a pink ivy motif while her beau looked dapper in a white tuxedo.

Her show-stopping outfit, which was teamed with a pair of Nike trainers in the same fluorescent shade of yellow, featured a detachable skirt and cape.

During the star-studded annual event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Serena whipped off her skirt to reveal a pair of bright pink knickers before taking to the stage in the racy ensemble.

Gone were her sporty trainers, which were replaced with over-the-knee boots that coordinated with the remaining bodice of her dress and showcased her toned legs.
