Serving Corp Member Provides Free Medical Supplies to Gombe Community

A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Ali Abdullahi, has organized a free medical outreach for residents of Wuro Bando Community in Tumfure, Gombe Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The outreach, which was part of Abdullahi’s Personal Community Development Service project, aimed to sensitize community members on best medical practices and provide free medical supplies to those in need.

According to reports, over 264 residents, including community leaders and district heads, benefited from the outreach, surpassing the initial target of 200 beneficiaries. The outreach included free medical examinations, screenings, and administration of medications.

Wuro Bando Community is a rural settlement with limited access to healthcare facilities and clean drinking water. Abdullahi’s initiative has brought much-needed relief to the community.

In addition to the medical outreach, Abdullahi is also working on a project to construct a water borehole for the community, which will provide a sustainable solution to the community’s water supply challenges.

For a sustainable change on the aspect of poor water supply, the Corp Member is presently on the project of constructing a water borehole for the benefit of the residents of the community.
