Sen Fadahunsi Mobilizes Constituents for Voter Registration

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Fadahunsi has emphasized his commitment to ensuring the success of the voter’s registration exercise in his constituency.

Speaking at his country home in Ilase-Ijesa, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, on Tuesday, Fadahunsi highlighted his efforts to mobilize his people for the exercise.

Fadahunsi said he has been actively involved in the process with representatives deployed to supervise and submit regular status reports.

He noted that his senatorial district has not been left out of this mobilization effort, with stakeholders including monarchs who custodians of cultural heritage, and community leaders actively engaged to facilitate the process.

Fadahunsi urged Hausa farmers, Fulani herdsmen, in the community to also participate in the process.

According to him, “As a reliable and reasonable leader, I am around with my own people on this voter’s registration. For near two weeks, I have sent persons to supervise the process and hereafter send a status report to me.

“My senatorial district has not been left behind on this mobilisation. I have personally gone round ensuring that stakeholders that will facilitate the process are actively onboard. Particularly, reaching the Kings (Obas), custodian of cultural heritage and Community leaders. Thereby, arousing the community people to register. Including the long-time settlers in our environment, the Hausa farmers, Fulani herdsmen and the Igedes. They all must register.

“There are 52 communities in Ibadan having not less than 30,000 Ijesha people and persons conducting voter registration are sent to get the people registered. Based on the foregoing, it can be boldly affirmed that the registered,” he added.
