Adeleke Urges Security Neutrality, Warns Against Turning Osun into Battleground

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has charged security agencies to maintain political neutrality, cautioning against turning the state which he described as the “home of the President” into a political battleground.

Speaking on Thursday at the Government House, Osogbo, during the decoration ceremony of his Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ahmed Bio Abdulraman. He stressed that law enforcement must not be compromised by partisanship.

“We should continue to maintain a level playing field. This is the home state of Mr. President. Mr. President belongs to all of us. Osun should not be turned into a battleground,” Adeleke said.

However, he commended the Nigeria Police Force for its commitment to professionalism, praising the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, for a leadership style that has promoted peace and order across the state.

Adeleke also lauded exemplary values demonstrated by his ADC, expressing joy at his promotion. He described the Nigeria Police as “a blessed organisation” that deserves the appreciation of both government and citizens, noting its influence on Nigeria’s growth and stability.
 
In his goodwill message, Gotan reaffirmed the Osun Command’s commitment to due process, peace and order.

He also commended DSP Abdulraman for his exceptional service and urged officers across the state to emulate his dedication and hard work, describing him as a role model within the Force.
