Court Remands 4 for Stealing Car, others in Osun

A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, on Tuesday remanded four persons in prison for allegedly stealing and receiving stolen properties of Adefisoye Oladele.

The defendants, Abiodun Olushola, 64; Ibrahim Yusuf, 22; Yahaya Saheed, 36; and Suraju Abdullahi, 23 were charged on Five- count charge of criminal conspiracy, Stealing and receiving stolen properties.

Police prosecutor, ASP Elisha Olusegun said that the defendants, along with others at large, committed the alleged offences on February 15th, 2025, at Aurora event center Osogbo, in the Osun State magisterial District.

Olusegun who alleged that the defendants on the same day, stole a Toyota Camry Car which valued ₦5,000,000, One Redmi phone valued ₦220,000, and Cash Sum of ₦15,000, which all this belongs to Adefisoye Oladele.

The charge sheet stated that the offence contravenes Section 516 of criminal code, Section 390(9) and section 427 of the criminal code Cap Vol. II Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2002.

The defendants pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Dr. O.A Ayilara, thereafter ordered that the defendants should be remanded in prison pending formal bail application.

Ayilara adjourned the cased till December 8, on the remand application.
