Osun Govt Launches Techify, Hosts Training of Trainers to Build Digital Champions

The Osun State Government, through the Ministry of Youth Affairs, today successfully held the Training of Trainers (ToT) for Techify Osun at the Oroki Innovation Hub, Osogbo.

The Training of Trainers brought together selected youth leaders and facilitators from across the state, equipping them with digital literacy, basic coding, and problem-solving skills. These participants are now prepared to serve as front-line trainers in the forthcoming community-wide sessions designed to cascade knowledge to thousands of young people across Osun.

Declaring the training open on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Moshood Olagunju, Hon. Segun Oyewale, Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization, reaffirmed the commitment of the Adeleke-led administration to equipping young people with sustainable skills that enhance employability and innovation.

Delivering his own address, Babawale Jamiu POPOOLA, the Youth and Strategic Engagement Aide to the Governor of Osun State, who is championing the initiative, described Techify Osun as “a game-changer that aligns with Governor Ademola Adeleke’s vision for a digitally inclusive Osun where no young person is left behind.”

Also present at the event were Hon. Ajala Adetunji, Senior Special Assistant on Rural Development and Community Affairs, and Adeoti Lukman, Lead, Oroki Innovation Hub, who both commended the initiative and expressed optimism about its impact on grassroots development and innovation in the state.

The Techify Osun initiative is a key driver of youth engagement and empowerment under Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, aiming to expand access to technology, foster innovation, and open up job-creating opportunities for young people across all local governments in the state.
