Osogbo/Olorunda NURTW Branches Describes Aare Asejere as Bridge Builder

In an historic show of solidarity, the leadership of the Osogbo and Olorunda branches of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) have described the frontline Senatorial hopeful of Osun Central, Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere as a visionary leader and bridge builder whose contributions have strengthen both the union and the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in the entire Osun State.

The leadership of the transport union during their official endorsement of Aare Asejere’s Senatorial ambition described his decision as a condition of a round peg in a round hole towards the betterment of the whole Senatorial District.

The NURTW, led by Comrade Oladepo Waheed (a.k.a. Ajona) with other members of the executives, praised Aare Asejere for his loyalty, commitment, and political acumen.

The NURTW’s deliberations centered on the yearnings of transport workers and the future of Osun Central.

Speaking on behalf of the branches, Comrade Waheed praised Aare Asejere’s longstanding relationship with the union, recalling his numerous interventions and unwavering support for transport workers during and after his service in government.

According to him, Aare Asejere’s humility, accessibility, and consistent track record of selfless service have distinguished him as the best choice to represent Osun Central in the Senate.

He emphasized that the transport workers were not only declaring their unalloyed support for him but fully endorsing his aspiration as their collective candidate.

According to the NURTW, “To the opposition, Aare Asejere is a formidable tactician, but within the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, he has consistently worked to foster unity and cohesion.

“The man Asejere remains a bridge builder who is conversant with developments across every nook and crany of Osun State as his support and contributions to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s developmental programmes cannot be over emphasised”.

Responding, Aare Asejere expressed heartfelt gratitude for the endorsement by the transport union while pledging to ensure that the developmental needs of transport workers and the larger constituency would remain a top priority if elected.

The Osogbo born politician also encouraged them to continue supporting the administration of the performing Governor, Senator. Ademola Adeleke.

In a touching moment, Aare Asejere reminded the delegation of his humble beginnings as a public driver, noting that his background makes him deeply connected to their struggles and aspirations. He assured them that he would never forget his roots and prayed for God to elevate every member of the union.

The delegation included Comrade Suleiman Badmos, Secretary of the Osogbo/Olorunda NURTW Group; Comrade Oyeyemi Jamiu (a.k.a. Manja), Treasurer; alongside several unit chairmen and executive committee members.
