Adeleke’s SA, Durojaye Drums Support for Governor’s Second Term

The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Durojaye Isaac, has urged residents to support Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for a second term.

He described the governor as “the most impactful, reform-driven, and people-centered leader Osun has experienced in years,” insisting that the achievements of the administration must not be interrupted.

Speaking with journalists in Osogbo, the state capital, Durojaye gave details of Governor Adeleke’s accomplishments, stressing that the governor’s re-election is essential for the continuity and consolidation of the ongoing transformation across Osun.

Durojaye highlighted what he called a “cooperative revolution” under Adeleke’s leadership, he explained that the cooperative sector, once abandoned and weakened, has been revived through strategic funding and reforms.

He said that more than ₦3 billion has been invested in cooperative-driven empowerment programs, including the ward-based Cooperative Loan Programme that has directly reached beneficiaries in all 332 wards of the state. Over 45,000 traders, artisans, small-scale entrepreneurs, and market women have accessed loans and support through the program, boosting microeconomic activity and reducing poverty at the grassroots.

He also noted the success of the Imole Business Empowerment Scheme, implemented in partnership with leading financial institutions. This initiative has provided 2,000 women and youths with start-up grants, CAC business registrations, POS machines, and training, allowing beneficiaries to launch and expand their businesses, adding that 50,000 cash grant was given to 3,000 resident ls to cushion effects of economic hardship in the country.

According to Durojaye, “this administration is the first to build cooperatives into a sustainable economic system rather than using them as political packaging.”

Durojaye further praised the governor’s strides in infrastructure development, describing the work as one of the most remarkable in Osun’s recent history. He pointed to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of long-neglected roads, including the Osogbo–Ikirun–Kwara boundary corridor, Osogbo and Ike-Ife fly-over brige as well as township roads across the three senatorial districts.

He said the installation of transformers in rural communities and potable water projects in every ward have significantly improved living conditions statewide.

In healthcare, he cited the Imole surgical and medical outreach, which has provided free medical interventions and surgeries to thousands of residents. He said the payment of long-overdue gratuities to pensioners has restored hope and dignity to retirees who had waited years for relief and workers’ welfare.

Durojaye emphasized that education and youth development have also benefited from Adeleke’s leadership. Over 100 schools have been rehabilitated, and learning environments upgraded. Young people across the state are enjoying opportunities through digital economy programs, agropreneurship initiatives, and renewed investment in agricultural mechanization.

He commended the governor’s climate action agenda, noting Osun’s growing reputation as a state committed to sustainability. Solar energy clubs in schools, clean-energy initiatives, and the state’s preparation for carbon credit programs were highlighted as examples of Adeleke’s forward-thinking vision.

According to Durojaye, these achievements demonstrate the governor’s unwavering commitment to fairness, transparency, and inclusive development. He reminded residents that Adeleke has led a debt-free administration, managing the state’s finances prudently while still embarking on projects of massive scale.

The Special Adviser noted that despite the seizure of local government allocation in the state, the Governor is still performing excellently well. He said most of the infrastructural projects are ongoing.

He appealed to residents from all walks of life to unite behind the governor’s second-term bid, insisting that Adeleke’s leadership has created stability, growth, and renewed hope across Osun. “A second term for Governor Adeleke is a second term for prosperity, continuity, and progress. Osun cannot afford to go backwards,” he said.
