Three Years of Adeleke: How Cooperative Development Empowers Osun People – Durojaye

As Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke marks three years in office, his administration is being celebrated for a sweeping wave of people-centred achievements—especially in the areas of cooperatives, economic empowerment, and grassroots development.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Durojaye Isaac, has praised Governor Adeleke as a leader whose vision has not only reshaped Osun State but has also strengthened communal ownership and economic inclusion through cooperative structures.

Hon. Isaac described the Governor as “a destiny-child and a special gift to humanity,” noting that his approach to governance has revived cooperative societies across the state, enabling thousands of citizens—traders, artisans, farmers, youth and women—to access financial support, build sustainable livelihoods, and participate directly in the state’s economic transformation.

According to Isaac, Adeleke’s administration has outperformed past governments in critical sectors including infrastructure, workers’ welfare, health, education, agriculture, and industrialisation.

He stressed that one of the most impactful areas is the revival of cooperative-driven empowerment programmes that place economic power directly in the hands of ordinary people.

Through transparent policies, people-focused decision-making, and a deliberate strategy to strengthen cooperative societies as engines of local development, Governor Adeleke has earned broad affection across Osun State. From rural communities to urban centres, cooperative unions have become vehicles for financial stability, shared prosperity, and community resilience—further amplifying the Governor’s popularity.

Across Nigeria, Adeleke has distinguished himself as a responsive and compassionate leader whose governance style blends accountability, transparency, and humanity. His three-year record has placed Osun on the national map as a beacon of inclusive growth—where cooperative development is not an afterthought but a central pillar of economic acceleration.

Hon. Isaac concluded that despite political distractions, Osun citizens have experienced tangible empowerment under Governor Adeleke and remain united in their support.
