Police Arrest Suspects in Murder of FRSC Officer, Daughter in Osun

The Osun State Police Command has arrested the suspected killers of a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, 38-year-old women and her 12-year-old daughter, Sewa, who were gruesomely murdered for ritual purposes in the state.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, disclosed this during a press briefing on Tuesday, said that through intelligence-led operations, detectives arrested a suspected herbalist, Gboyega Daramola, also known as (Aberefa) on November 16.

He stressed that during interrogation with suspect (Daramola) confessed that one Victor Fajemirokun, 40, was his client and had brought Oluwamayokun and her daughter to him for money rituals.

According to CP, “the case first surfaced on November 10, 2025, when a missing-person report was lodged at the Ikoyi Divisional Headquarters concerning one Victor Fajemirokun, who was later identified as the mastermind of the killings. Fajemirokun, who claimed to be heading to Ikoyi Prayer Mountain for spiritual activities, went missing on November 2, prompting the Anti-Kidnapping Squad to begin investigations.

“Immediately the case was referred to Anti-kidnapping Squad for discreet investigation, team of detectives swung into action and moved to Ikoyi Division on fact finding where one Toyota Corolla Vaso belonging to the missing person, Fajemirokun Victor ‘m’ was recovered from where parked on Ibadan/Ife Expressway.

“Search was conducted around and the bush in the area combed on both side of the road, but no sign of Kidnapping or homicide was discovered. Subsequently, through intelligence led investigation and painstaking analysis; on the 16th November, 2025, one Gboyega Daramola ‘m’ a.k.a. “Aberefa” was arrested and confirmed to be an herbalist. During his interrogation, he emphatically confessed that, one Fajemirokun Victor ‘m’ was one of his customers, that on the 2nd November, 2025 a woman and her daughter were brought to him by Fajemirokun Victor ‘m’ for money ritual and the subject have been killed. He further mentioned one Sunday James ‘m’, one Kehinde and one Idowu to be part of the killers.

“Furthermore, on Monday 17th November, 2025, the suspect Gboyega Daramola ‘m’ a.k.a. “Aberefa” led the detectives to Esa-Odo Dam, Osun State where the body of the one Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun ‘f’ 38yrs was dumped who happens to be a senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) serving in Ogun State.

“Thereafter, it was recovered and deposited at Uniosun Teaching Hospital Morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, some vital parts of the body such as head, breast, two hands, private parts and others were missing.

“Also, on the 20th November, 2025, further credible intelligence led to the arrest of one of the principal suspects mentioned by the herbalist, one Sunday James in Ekiti State where he was hiding. During interrogation, he confessed to be the one who slaughtered both mother and her daughter on the instruction of his boss herbalist, Gboyega Daramola a.k.a. “Aberefa” while the duo of Kehinde and Idowu were the ones who butchered the body.

“However, the suspect Sunday James led the detectives to recover the body of the daughter, Sewa Lasisi from the bush where she was killed. Likewise, some vital parts of the body such as Head, two hands and the feet were missing. The remains were also deposited at Uniosun Teaching Hospital Morgue.

“However, it was gather that Fajemirokun Victor who masterminded the killing had absconded from being arrested. Through the collaboration with Interpol, Victor Fajemirokun was apprehended in Ghana and repatriated to Nigeria. The suspect is currently in police custody and confessed to the crime. Meanwhile, efforts are on top gear to apprehend fleeing suspects. All suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.

The CP condemned this disturbing act and all forms of killings, child abuse, molestation and exploitation as he is also using this medium to advice parents and guardians to rein on their wards to shun cultism and engage in meaningful business/activities.
