Osun State House of Assembly Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, aspirant for Irewole/Isokan state Constituency, Chief Owodunni AbdulRamon Wocco has called on the eligible citizens in the constituency to troop out enmas and participate in the coming Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to Wocco on Thursday while having a political meeting with the large numbers of PDP faithfuls in both Irewole/Isokan state Constituency to sensitize the people on the need to participate fully in the CVR exercise which is around the corner.
Chief Wocco noted the importance of every eligible citizens to partake in the exercise which he described as an opportunity for them to cast their vote for the candidate of their choice during the forthcoming elections.
The Irewole/Isokan state Constituency PDP Aspirant who was highly elated for seen the mammoth crowd said the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, shall commence with an online registration on the 18th day of August, while the in-person or physical registration shall commence on the 25th of August, 2025 across the 30 Local Government offices in Osun State including the area office at Modakeke.
“For the online registration, the prospective registrant will only visit www.cvr.inecnigeria.org while the person will complete the registration forms available on the website and later visit the Local Government offices for biometrics capturing, which include, the facials and the fingerprint.
“The CVR according to the INEC shall commence physically on the 25th August, 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3pm at no fee and that is why I am calling on you all not to take the exercise with levity hand for the benefit of all and sundry.
“If you have lost your card or you have just attain the age of 18 years or above or fresh registration, you must partake in the exercise. Someone who hitherto was residing in a place but currently residing elsewhere, (for this category of people, they require transfer and not fresh registration), Someone whose card had been defaced, (this category requires replacement and not fresh registration), someone whose permanent voter card had been lost, (this category requires replacement and not fresh registration).
“Again, according to the INEC, the total number of 1,954,800 registered of voters and the sum of 360,794 permanent voters card uncollected. So the INEC is calling us all to also come out, not only to register for the PVC, but for the collection as well while we should all not that, as it stands today, no PVC, no voting during the election period”, Wocco emphasised.
Chief Wocco however admonished members of his Constituency to always be law abiding, shun any kind of political violence and never be distracted in demonstrating their unalloyed support to the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP which he described as the only political party fighting for the betterment of the masses.
