According to him, “Despite our district’s sincere commitment and unwavering loyalty to the progressives, the marginalisation of Osun West is an undeniable fact. We urge our leaders to confront it with urgency and resolve. For decades, our district has been sidelined in the political landscape of Osun State, depriving us of the representation and leadership that we rightfully deserve.
“We implore the APC leadership to embrace this opportunity for change and progress by zoning the gubernatorial ticket to Osun West, which holds the key to recapturing the state back from the maladministration of the PDP.
“Our members believe the political landscape in Osun State is ripe for transformation, and an APC candidate from Osun West offers the brightest chance of winning the gubernatorial election. Osun constituents are eager for change, and a candidate from our district embodies the hope and aspiration required to recapture the state from the grip of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The electorate is poised to rally behind a vision that respects their longstanding desire for representation.
“Our confidence is fortified by widespread grassroots backing, which is indispensable for achieving electoral triumph. The voters of Osun West are empowered, fervent, and devoted to reinstating credibility and trust in the APC, as they have consistently done. You will all recall that our senatorial district secured six of its ten local governments for the APC in 2022 despite our party’s candidate, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, being selected from Osun Central.
“We appeal to the conscience of every APC leader to acknowledge this moment as pivotal, not just for Osun West but for the party itself.
“We trust that the leadership of APC will rise to the occasion, making decisions that reflect the true spirit of democracy and the hopes of countless citizens yearning for equitable representation and the return of the APC to Bola Ige House, Abere, in 2026.
However, paid tribute to the reinstated chairman of Irewole Local Government Hon. Remi Abass who was brutally murdered.

“We stand united in recognizing the sacrifice of one of Osun West’s illustrious leaders, Hon Remi Abass, the reinstated chairman of Irewole Local Government, who was brutally murdered in a scheme to weaken the West aspiration. His death remains a tragic testament to the struggle for equity and justice. His life was dedicated to advocating for fairness, and in honour of his legacy, we urge APC stakeholders not to let his death be in vain. His unwavering commitment must inspire meaningful action by ensuring that the APC candidate emerges from Osun West, signalling a powerful stance against past injustices.
“Despite the adversaries who sought to thwart the movement to restore Osun to the progressives and succeeded in irrevocably silencing Honorable Remi Abass, a vanguard of Western aspirations, his vision for the cause endures.”
