…Urges Osun people to work towards Adeleke’s victory in August election

The Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Comrade Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi has charged members of the polytechnic community to be more focused, loyal and dedicated in the new year.

The Rector in his new year message to Management, Staff and students of the Institution, expressed his profound appreciation to the Governing Council, Management, Staff, Students and the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency Asiwaju Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, for their support in the past year, saying their unalloyed supports have made the Institution to be counted worthy in the comity of polytechnics in the country.

He noted that the year 2025 was a unique year in the annals of the Institution which was greeted with tremendous achievements in academics, infrastructural development and moral rebirths of the students.

Mr Alabi particularly enthused that in the past year, some new courses were newly accredited in the Institution, while re-accreditations were done for the existing courses, which facilitated more carrying capacities for the existing programmes in the school. He also noted that the Students Union Election was conducted with Electronic Voting system which was peaceful without any itch, this made the institution a pacesetter in the state for E-voting system.

Mr Alabi also declared that studios and laboratories in the polytechnic were upgraded with the state of the arts equipment to enhance more practicals for students of the Institution. Acquisition of higher degrees by members of staff and human resources development he said, were part of what the institution witnessed in the previous year, apart from notable physical infrastructure.

He solicited for more dedication on the part of the members of the academic community to record more achievements in the year 2026.

The Rector also appealed to citizens in Osun State to be rededicated to the ideals of the State Governor, Senator Asiwaju Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke. He said this would help the state to continue on the path of good governance and enjoyment of dividends of democracy.

Mr. Alabi, in the personally signed statement, urged the entire residents of Osun State to always pray for the Governor, whom he said had transformed the state, saying his impacts could be clearly felt in education, road construction and health care delivery among others. He observed that the Governor is a worker friendly individual whose welfare package for workers and pensioners in the state is well appreciated, asking that they needed to be rededicated to probity, loyalty and sense of citizenship to complement the efforts of the governor in his people oriented governance.

“I want to seize this occasion to thank all our students and staff for all their support over the years. I wish you all a prosperous new year.
“But we must be mindful of the need to continue to be loyal and dedicated to the government of Senator Ademola Adeleke.

“We need to be law-abiding; we need to be dedicated to our duties. Punctuality is the soul of business; let us always be punctual at work.
“At our end, we will continue to be fair to all without minding religion or ethnicity; we must equally support the state governor in his developmental projects and at the same time pray and work for his victory in the 2026 governorship election”, the Rector said
