Majmolqueen Charitable Foundation Empowers Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Kwara Residents with Millions of Naira

..As Islamic Scholars call on well-meaning Nigerians to support needy

Islamic scholars and stakeholders on Saturday called on well-meaning Nigerians to support the less privileged, as Majmolqueen Charitable Foundation empowered businessmen and women with millions of naira worth of materials, equipment, and cash grants.

The 2.0 edition of the ‘Rise to Empower 2025’ initiative organized by the Majmolqueen Charitable Foundation, was held in Osogbo, Osun State capital, with beneficiaries from Oyo, Osun, Ogun, and Kwara States.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Lecturer of the Academy of Islamic Propagation, Nigeria, Malam Yusuf Adepoju, called on well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the foundation’s gesture in providing for the less privileged for the betterment of society

Adepoju also called on government at all levels within their capacity to increase the tempo of empowering the people in order to improve the welfare of citizens.

He urged the government to ensure that officials in charge intensify their efforts so that empowerment programmes effectively reach the needy and the less privileged in society.

According to him, I have the honour to be part and parcel of this laudable project. As we can see, we have many beneficiaries that have benefited from the largesse of Majmolqueen Charitable Foundation. We are grateful for the life of the facilitator, our sister, Sister Majeedah Ashimi Idris, Ummu Sumaya. It is a gesture that is worth emulation. We pray unto Allah to continue to support her.

In her welcome address, the CEO, Majmolqueen Charitable Foundation, Majeedah Ashimi Idris reaffirmed the foundation commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society, describing the beneficiaries as the driving force behind the initiative.

She commended all distinguished guests for their unwavering support and leadership, stating that their presence at the event attested to their commitment to the mission

“Today, we converge to celebrate the unbreakable spirit of humanity, the transformative power of empowerment, and the boundless potential of our community. In a world where challenges often overshadow opportunities, we gather to shine a light on the possibilities that lie within each of you.

“Our mission is to uplift and support those who need it most, and we are proud to have you here as we embark on this journey of growth, learning, and connection. As a foundation, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to pursue their passions and live a life of purpose and fulfillment. That is why we are committed to providing the tools, resources, and support needed to help you unlock your full potential,” she added.

However, the chairman of the event, Hon. Tijani Sherik, commended the Foundation for assisting people by giving them the gift of what they need.

Sherik said “I see this programme as a very beautiful and supportive initiative that people in society truly need. My advice to Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, is to recognize what individuals and foundations are doing. A single person can give such generous gifts, and we can see how happy the beneficiaries are.

“So, I urge everyone in society to assist others and emulate what this foundation is doing. If one person can do this, we can all do even more. Those who have enough money and even those who don’t have much should try to give whatever they can to help others. May Allah continue to bless every one of us.

Meanwhile, one of the guest lecturers at the event, Ustadh Adebayo Dikhirullah, described the programme as amazing, commending the organizer, Sister Majeedah Ummu Sumayyah, for her consistency in holding such initiatives.

He noted that business is a form of ibadah (worship), especially in the 21st century, when people require more money for housing, education, and other necessities.

Ustadh Dikhirullah further cautioned that in today’s digital age, people must be careful, particularly on social media. He stressed that anyone advertising goods or services must remain transparent and trustworthy.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Babatunde Nurudeen explained that Rise to Empower 2.0 is a programme designed to empower the less privileged in society by supporting their businesses with materials, equipment, and cash grants.

According to him, the foundation’s focus for the coming year is to extend its employment and empowerment programmes nationwide. “Our employment initiatives cut across education, street feeding, and distribution of equipment, among others. We urge those who are able to support the foundation to come on board,” he appealed.

One of the beneficiaries, Akanbi Taofeeq, said: “I want to commend the organizers of this foundation for their selfless efforts and pray to Allah to grant them fortitude and strength to forge ahead. I also pray that in the years to come, I will be able to contribute meaningfully to the foundation’s programmes.

Another beneficiary, AbdulGaniyu Tawakalitu, described the initiative as “a very good effort that has truly helped people by supporting their businesses and making them self-reliant.

I’m so excited to be one of the beneficiaries of today’s programme. I didn’t even expect this, because I requested an 8-liter mixer, but I was given a 10-liter mixer. I’m grateful, and may Almighty Allah reward the organizer of this programme. This will contribute positively to the beneficiaries’ progress.
