Osun Guber: Aregbesola’s Ally Mobilises Support for APC Candidate, Oyebamiji

Hon Wale Alabi, an aide to former Osun State Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has mobilised support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate ahead of the August 8, 2026, election in Osun State

Speaking, the Convener and founder, Blue Movement Wale Alabi expressed confidence in Oyebamiji’s ability to lead Osun State to economic prosperity

He said, ”Asiwaju Munirundeen Bola Oyebamiji is our choice of candidate, we believe in his record and what is capable of doing because checking records he did well in the offices he has handled. We believe that he is the man that can bring Osun back to the economic prosperity for all of us , we are here to win Osun back.

Alabi lamented that despite increased allocations to states following the removal of fuel subsidy, Osun has not experienced commensurate development.

Alabi urged residents of the state to vote for the APC in the forthcoming election for development and economic prosperity in the state.

According to him, we need to bring progressive back because that is what guarantees development and economic prosperity.

He said, “It is quite unfortunate that we have someone who is not qualified to work as a clark in an establishment governing the state. If you look at how the state is being run at the moment you will agree with me that the man at helms of affairs is not competent.

“This is the first time that the state is receiving bogus allocation from the federal purse , the subsidy that was removed is being returned back to the state government to take care of the masses but unfortunately what we have in Osun is someone dancing around, wasting our billions and that has to stop in 2026.

“In Blue Movement we never left the APC, what we did was to belong to a caucus inside the APC and for a very long time we’ve been active with the party activities. We are using today to celebrate the creation of blue movement, for that reason, we are celebrating our group and also reactivating ourselves back into the Party.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji described the return of the Blue Movement to the party as a strong symbol of unity and a clear indication that the APC is on course to win the August 8, 2026 gubernatorial election.

He said, “Today’s event is a sign and symbol of unity, and also a symbol that the APC will win the August 8, 2026 governorship election.

“Unfortunately, during the 2022 governorship election, the Blue Movement stepped aside. About six thousand of them did so. We pleaded with them and spoke to them, but they insisted that they needed to step aside at that time,” he said.
