Osun Guber: Ogiyan of Ejigbo Predicts Victory Amidst Najeem Salaam’s ADC Bid
The Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyebode Oyeyosin, has declared Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke the winner of the 2026 governorship election.
The declaration was made during a congratulatory visit by Governor Ademola Adeleke to the Ogiyan of Ejigbo on the monarch’s 90th birthday.
During the visit, the revered traditional ruler gave the governor his blessings for a second term and expressed confidence in his re-election.
“Let’s not worry too much about the next governorship election because Adeleke will be re-elected,” the monarch said.
He praised Adeleke for his honesty in governance, adding, “Because you’ve always been honest with your governance, you’ll be re-elected.”
The statement appears to signal the monarch’s support despite the political ambitions of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Najeem Salaam, who previously visited the Ogiyan to seek royal blessings.
