Police Arraigns 38-year-old Over Threat to Life

Court affirms Adebutu as Ogun PDP guber candidate

A 38-year-old prophet, Iseoluwa Oladoye was charged in a Chief Magistrate’s court in Osogbo on Thursday for allegedly inflicting cutlass injuries on Tunde Onilewura.

The prophet was docked on four counts bordering on assault, threat to life and cutlass attack.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Lamidi Rasaq alleged that the defendant beat one Chief Tunde Onilewura and Onilewura Habeeb, inflicting injuries on them with a cutlass.

Adding that the defendant also threatened them with messages on WhatsApp.

He stressed that the offense contradicts section 355 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria,2002.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the four counts preferred against him. His counsel, Barr. Kehinde Adepoju applied for bail in the most liberal terms assuring the court that the defendant is ready to provide reliable sureties.

Presiding Chief Magistrate, Dr. Olusegun Ayilara granted the defendant bail in the sum of #500,000 and one surety in like sum. The case was adjourned till February 24,2026 for further hearing.
