Osun NUP Dissociate Self-Registered Retired Public Servant Association

Osun state chapter of Nigeria Union of Pensioners has dissociate self from a splinter group of 2011/2012 Retired Public Servant Association, Osun State , saying the association is not known to the constitution of the union, urging the state government to disregard dealing with them.

This was contained in a statement issued and jointly signed by the state chairman, Alhaji Ismaila Odefisayo and Secretary, Comrade Dele Aina in Osogbo on Thursday.

According to the union, NUP is a vibrant union which can not be treated as an association, hence disband any form of association within the union, describing those parading themselves on the premise of RPSA as decedent, whose pedigree can not be trusted.

Osun NUP said, they only recognised Forum of 2011/2012 Pensioners, noting that, government should be weary of dealing with the decedents.

Osun Pensioners posited that, all correspondence for the pensioners in the state should be addressed to the state office of the union located at Kolabalogun area, old Ikirun road Osogbo, saying anybody dealing with said association is at his or her risk as their association is not registered with the union.

They plead with Osun state government not to entertain any requests from the said association as they are not working for the interest of the pensioners in the state.

The union however, distance self from the recent protest staged by the said association, saying governor Adeleke deserves accolade not protest for all he has done and still doing for the pensioners in the state.
