Eid-ul-Fitr: Bamidele Urges Unity, Compassion

A public figure, Bello Saliu Bamidele, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, calling for unity, compassion, and sustained adherence to the virtues of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message to mark the end of the holy fasting month, Bamidele described Eid as more than a celebration, noting that it represents the culmination of a period of spiritual discipline, sacrifice, and renewed devotion to Allah.

He commended Muslim faithful for their commitment throughout Ramadan, highlighting the significance of practices such as fasting, prayer, and charity in strengthening faith and promoting self-discipline.

According to him, the occasion should serve as a reminder of the enduring values of patience, humility, generosity, and compassion cultivated during the holy month.

“As we mark this blessed occasion, it is my earnest prayer that Almighty Allah accepts every act of worship and grants us the grace to sustain the virtues cultivated during Ramadan.

The Holy Qur’an reminds us:
“And that you must complete the prescribed days and glorify Allah for having guided you, so that you may be grateful.”
— Qur’an 2:185, And in the rhythm of life’s trials and triumphs, we are reassured:
“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”
— Qur’an 94:6

Eid-ul-Fitr calls us beyond celebration into responsibility. It is a moment to extend kindness to the less privileged, to strengthen the bonds of unity, and to reaffirm our commitment to peace, justice, and harmonious coexistence. The lessons of Ramadan—patience, humility, generosity, and compassion—must not fade with the crescent but should remain guiding lights in our daily lives.
