Gov Aiyedatiwa Sacks Political Aides
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all political aides in the state of their duties with immediate effect as part of efforts to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery.
Those affected by the decision include Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor.
The governor expressed appreciation to the aides for their contributions to the development of the state, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
The move, according to the government, is part of an ongoing restructuring aimed at strengthening governance and ensuring better coordination within the administration.
Meanwhile, the governor has announced plans to appoint about 1,000 new aides drawn from the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of the state. The appointments are expected to be made in due course as part of efforts to inject fresh capacity into the system.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on March 30, 2026.
