MAOS Secures Inclusion of Late Feranmi Scholarship in OSPOLY Convocation Programme

The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (MAOS) has secured the official inclusion of the Late Adetoye Feranmi Scholarship Award in the institution’s convocation programme.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the MAOS National President led Adekunle Sikiru (Abacus) noted that the milestone was achieved in collaboration with the management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

According to the statement, the development means the scholarship award will henceforth be part of the institution’s convocation package, aimed at recognising academic excellence among students of the Mass Communication Department.

The award will specifically honour the best graduating students in HND Broadcast, HND Print, and ND Mass Communication.

MAOS noted that the initiative is sponsored by the association as a way of immortalising the legacy of its pioneer National Secretary, the late Feranmi Adetoye Adeleke, whose contributions were described as foundational to the growth of the alumni body.

The NEC expressed appreciation to key stakeholders, including the Rector of the institution, Comrade Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi; the Head of Department, Mass Communication, Dr Idowu Akinrosoye; the Chairman of the MAOS Board of Trustees, Dr Aderemi Adeagbo; as well as other executives and members of the association for their support in actualising the initiative.

The statement further noted that the National President of MAOS, Adekunle Sikiru, reaffirmed the association’s commitment to advancing developmental initiatives and promoting its image globally.

MAOS also urged graduands whose sessions fall within the upcoming 8th combined convocation ceremony to attend the event scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree campus.
