Rainfall: Driver Trapped as Billboard Falls on Coca-Cola Truck in Osogbo
An unidentified Coca-Cola truck driver was reportedly trapped for about an hour after a billboard fell on the vehicle during a heavy downpour in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

It was gathered that the truck was coming from the Gbongan–Ibadan road around 8 p.m. when a billboard in front of Chicken Republic, Aregbe, collapsed onto it.

An eyewitness, who identified himself as Sola, said it took the combined efforts of people in the area to rescue the trapped driver.

He noted that the incident showed that Nigerians are compassionate and always willing to assist others in times of distress.
According to him, residents quickly came to the victim’s aid, made calls for help, and even provided welding machine and generator to support the rescue operation.
“I believe only God saved his life,” he added.
Another eyewitness, however, lamented the delayed response from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the police, noting that officials had yet to arrive at the scene more than an hour after the incident occurred.
