Obeisun Knocks Pelumi Olajengbesi Over Alleged Anti-People Political Agenda

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oriade Local Government, Hon. Olubunmi Obeisun Ezekiel, has strongly condemned what he described as misleading and false information allegedly being circulated by Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, spokesperson to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s campaign committee.

Obeisun, while reacting to the development, said the publication was unfortunate and a calculated attempt to distort facts and mislead members of the public for political reasons.

He noted that progressive-minded leaders and stakeholders across Oriade Local Government had expressed concern over the growing trend of misinformation in the political space.

The APC stalwart stated that the situation reflects the danger of entrusting sensitive political communication to individuals who, according to him, lack the competence and maturity required for constructive political engagement.

He maintained that issue-based politics should take precedence over personal attacks and campaigns aimed at discrediting political opponents.

According to Obeisun, Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi has consistently engaged in criticism and propaganda rather than contributing meaningful ideas capable of advancing the interests of the people.

He stressed that politics should focus on development, service to humanity, and the promotion of democratic values instead of bitterness and character assassination.

Speaking further, the council chairman recalled the events surrounding the 2023 General Election, alleging that Pelumi Olajengbesi worked against the collective interest of Oriade and Ijebu-Ijesa people when the APC presented Seun Odofin as its House of Representatives candidate.

He added that some loyalists of the spokesperson allegedly attempted to mislead the public by portraying Odofin merely as a chieftaincy title holder, despite the political significance of his candidacy to the region.

Obeisun expressed surprise that individuals who allegedly acted against the interests of the people were now presenting themselves as defenders of justice and progress.

He, however, insisted that the people of Oriade are politically aware and capable of identifying genuine leadership beyond political propaganda and opportunism.

In his concluding remarks, Obeisun reaffirmed his commitment to the unity, growth, and success of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State.

He also commended notable party leaders, including Alhaji Saliu Alubankudi, for their loyalty and steadfast support for the party’s decisions, adding that collective dedication remains vital to the continued progress of the APC in the state.
