Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner , Dr. Mutiu Adegoke has revealed that 360,794 Permanent Voters Card’s (PVC) remains uncollected out of the 1,954,800 registered voters in the state.
He revealed this during an interactive engagement with journalists held at the Correspondents’ Chapel in osogbo on Wednesday.
Dr. Adegoke urged the media to educate the public about the importance of voters registration and PVC collection while fighting against electoral malpractices.
“Kindly note that in Osun State we have the total number of 1,954,800 registered of voters and the sum of 360,794 permanent voters card uncollected. We implore you to assist the commission in Osun State to mobilise the electorate to come out, not only to register for the PVC, but for the collection as well. Note that as it stands today, no pvc, no voting”,he stated.
He added that notice of the 2026 election time table would be pasted across the local government commission office in the state in no distance time to keep public keep informed about the activities of the commission.
“This will be followed with series of activities as contained in the time table released by the headquarters of the commission. I implore you all to be conversant with the Governorship Election time table so as to be able to track our activities. To the specifics, I use this auspicious opportunity to appeal to you to help spread the gospel of this CVR to the eligible registrants”.
