A sociocultural group, Yoruba Progressive Forum, (YPF) , “Egbe omo Yoruba Atata” has congratulated former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 69th birthday.
The group in a statement issued by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Olalekan Lateef and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Monday described Asiwaju as God sent and agent used to strengthen the unity of the nation.
Describing the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a Nigerian who has impacted many lives and greatly contributed to improving the polity, YPF said Asiwaju remain an inspiration to many Nigerian youths.
The Yoruba Progressive Forum noted that the roles the celebrant had played in ensuring that the people of the country co-exist cannot be underestimated.
According to the group, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a leader of leaders, political strategist and astute administrator, Asiwaju Tinubu has in three decades of active roles in the politics of Nigeria impacted many lives and greatly contributed to improving the polity.
“God sent Asiwaju to work for the unity of the country and to ensure people of the country peaceful co-exist among themselves.
“His achievements and the development foundations he laid in Lagos as the first elected governor of the state in the Fourth Republic have secured his place in the history of the state.
“When Asiwaju was the governor of Lagos state, he appointed able hands who he believed had the skills needed to achieve his goals, regardless of tribe and religious affiliation.
“That is the reason he has continued to loom large on the political stage 14 years after he last held a political office.
“As we joined the family members, friends and political associates of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in rejoicing with him for marking the day in good health and high spirits, we pray God Almighty to continue to be with him and grant him all his heart desires.
