As part of the celebrations marking the 70th birthday of the Timi of Edeland, Oba Dr. Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa 1, the organizer has rolled out a series of activities to mark a major milestone in the life of the monarch.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Timi Palace in Ede on Friday, High Chief Engr. Lateef Olatunji Lawal, the Babasanya of Ede, said that the celebration of the Timi’s platinum birthday will commence with an interfaith prayer on February 12th, followed by a health talk and visitation to an orphanage on February 13th.

Lawal said that the monarch will also will confer honorary chieftaincy titles on deserving individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the development of the society.

He disclosed that the people of the ancient town are celebrating the monarch for the great developments that have come to the town during his reign.

High Chief described the Monarch as a strong advocate of good governance and a supporting pillar of government, facilitating numerous developmental projects in Ede and beyond.

According to High Chief, “The purpose of this conference is to apprise the public on the activities planned for the upcoming Platinum Birthday of HRM Oba Dr Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa 1 Timi Adesola Lawal Laminisa 1 Timi of Edeland 70 years of life have been marked by dedication, wisdom, and selflessness, making him a shining example of leadership and a source of inspiration to his community.

“We have a series of exciting events lined up to celebrate this milestone birthday, including this press conference, which is being held today, February 7th. On February 12th, we will hold an interfaith prayer, followed by a health talk and visitation to an orphanage on February 13th.

“The honorary chieftaincy award will take place on February 14th, and we are particularly excited to recognize the outstanding contributions of the individuals who will be receiving this prestigious award.

“These individuals have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to their communities, and we are honored to acknowledge their achievements.

“The grand finale will be held on February 15th, and we invite everyone to join us as we come together to celebrate Baba Timi’s life and legacy.
