A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Bukola Ojuade has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of his 8th coronation anniversary.
He described the Ooni as a distinguished royal father and worthy ambassador of Nigeria. Ooni ascended the throne of his forefathers on 7th December, 2015 as the 51st Ooni of Ife.
In a statement, he personally signed, Ojuade lauded the traditional ruler for prioritizing the welfare of his subjects.
He also commended the traditional ruler’s commitment to the peace, stability, and development of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole since he ascended the throne.
Ojuade also praised Oba Ogunwusi’s devotion to youth empowerment and development, noting that his various interventions in youth advocacy, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and education had impacted young people in and outside Osun State.
The APC stalwart, said Ooni is a model to other traditional rulers in the country and beyond, adding that Ooni’s elevated engagement and informed intervention on national issues endeared him to many people, particularly the youths.
He praised the Ooni for his exemplary leadership and courage. He also added that Ooni Adeyeye’s pan Africanism and Nigerian disposition has helped to promote unity and sustained peace in the country.
“Today, I celebrate Oba Adeyeye for his exemplary leadership. His style and elevated engagement, has become a model to many other traditional rulers in the country.
“It is also worthy of note, that Oba Adeyeye’s pan Africanism disposition is helping to promote unity and peace among African countries and ethnic nationalities in Nigeria”.
He also commended Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi for his deliberate commitment to young people.
Ojuade, wished the Ooni many happy returns on the throne. He also prayed that the almighty God will continue to bless and keep the Ooni as he continues towards greater endeavors.
Oba Ogunwusi clocked 8 years on the throne of his forefathers. He ascended the throne on December 7th, 2015 as the 51st Ooni of Ife.

“I pray Almighty God to continue to endow you with wisdom, good health and strength to continue to serve your subjects, our state and country,’’ Ojuade said.
