..As over 200 people benefited from Prince Olasupo’s empowerment programme
Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), in Olorunda North Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Osun State, have organized prayer sessions for the re-election bid of Governor Adegboye Oyetola ahead of the July 16th gubernatorial election.
The prayer programme which held yesterday, at Dagbolu area of the council had in attendance hundreds supporters of APC converged to pray for Governor Oyetola to emerge victorious in the coming gubernatorial election.
In the same vain, about 200 residents of the council were also benefited from the empowerment program organized by a notable prince in the council, Prince Olasupo Sulaiman.
Speaking at the two-in-one event, the organiser of the programme, Prince Sulaiman said decision to organise the prayer was born out of the conviction he and other members of the council have in the administration of the governor.
According to him, the governor whom he said had done tremendously well in the area of infrastructural and human development said there was the need for the lovers of development to pray for Oyetola to rule the state beyond 2022 for the good work not to stop.
He urged the residents of the state not to be distracted by unpopular political parties, appealing to them to canvas, and support the present government of Osun beyond 2022.
Sulaimon, however, congratulated all the beneficiaries of this empowerment scheme, imploring them to make good use of it, and continue their support for APC.
He stressed that the empowerment program will cover all the 17 wards in the Olorunda Local Government Area in no distance time.
According to him, “This program is targeted at the re-election of our own Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola for the second term.
“I decided in my capacity to support the impressive efforts of Mr. Governor, by empowering our people at the grassroots with cash to make life more comfortable and bearable for them. And over 200 vulnerable people benefit under this scheme.
In his address to the SA to Mr governor on Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Abdurasaq Adeosun described Governor Oyetola as a God fearing man who’s really concerned about the welfare of the people of the state.
Adeosun charged all the members of the party to inculcate the culture of God-mindedness for APC to thrive and for the government to move forward.
He said, “Olasupo Sulaimon has started well by starting with the empowerment of people. This shows the traits of the progressive in him. He has shown a sense of service to his people as a matter of fact, for someone to donate his money to the public is commendable.
“We must commend him and that is the type of the person we want that will align with the thinking of Mr. Governor. Our governor is a welfare-oriented human being.
