Asisat Oshoala has set her sights on winning another UEFA Women’s Champions League crown with Barcelona Ladies.
The Blaugurana, who are the defending champions, will face French side, Olympic Lyon in the final at the Allianz Stadium, Torino on Saturday (today).
Lyon, who have won the competition seven-times, defeated Barcelona 4-1 in the final of the competition three years ago and Spanish Iberdola side have the chance to avenge that defeat.
Oshoala scored Barcelona’s solitary goal in that encounter, making her the first Nigerian and African woman to score in the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Ahead of today’s encounter, the former Arsenal and Liverpool star believes the team is ready to retain the title they won by beating Chelsea in the final last season.
“Being confident for the final is about the team and we have the greatest,” Oshoala told ESPN.
“Winning the Champions League last year with Barca was the highlight of my career. I want to do it again,” she said.
Oshoala head into the game in boisterous mood after claiming the Pichichi (top scorer) award in the Spanish Iberdola this week.
