Transfer: You Never Know – Onana Speaks On Joining Chelsea From Inter Milan

Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has admitted that he is uncertain about where his future lies following his team’s 1-0 UEFA Champions League final defeat to Manchester City on Saturday night.

Onana could not prevent Rodri’s second-half winner, which crowned Man City champions of Europe for the first time in their history.

The Cameroonian international has been heavily linked with a move away from Inter, given his spectacular displays for the Serie A giants this term.

Chelsea are keen on signing a new goalkeeper, with neither Kepa Arrizabalaga nor Edouard Mendy appealing to manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino considers the position a priority, and he will be backed with significant funds this summer transfer window.

Onana is said to be high on Chelsea’s shortlist, and the former Ajax keeper admits he’s unsure if he will be at Inter next season.

Asked about his future amid a link to Chelsea, Onana told reporters: “I don’t know. The truth is that I’m happy here, but then at a certain level, you never know how it will go.

“I have no problems with Inter. I have an excellent relationship with them, and I’m at their disposal. I will do what they tell me.”
