Barcelona are facing a decision regarding the future of midfielder Frenkie de Jong, with a new contract or a potential sale on the table.
According to reports from Spain, Tottenham Hotspur have made a €60m offer for the Dutchman.
Barcelona are looking to clarify de Jong’s future, aiming to either renegotiate his current salary of nearly €25m per year to around €15m with a new contract or sell him this summer.
Tottenham’s reported offer includes a four-year deal with a salary close to his current earnings if certain targets are met.
While reports in Spain indicate the offer from Tottenham, there has been no confirmation from England about the rumours.
Barcelona had previously valued de Jong at €100m, but this offer falls short of their initial asking price, Football Espana explained.
However, with the club facing financial pressures, as well as other internal crisis, they may as well consider the offer.
