Victoria Beckham gave a shocking response when she was asked about becoming a grandmother.
The former Spice Girl, 49, was left gobsmacked after a Vogue Interview on Friday with ‘The Run Through’ co-host Chloe Malle.
During a chat about her son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz, Victoria revealed that she does not like to offer relationship advice.
But when Chloe asked if the fashion designer was excited to become a ‘Gramma’, Victoria was shocked and dramatically like the prospect of being a grandmother was brand new information.
Victoria was floored by the suggestion that Brooklyn was having a baby with Nicola and delivered the awkwardly animated response: ‘Oh. Jesus. What? Woo. Hang on.’
The model then used her hand to fan her face before turning to the audience and stating: ‘I don’t think it’s happening just yet unless you guys know something I don’t.’
Once she finally regained composure, Victoria said: ‘If I am blessed, then that would be wonderful.’
Then she returned to fanning her face again and dramatically reiterating that ‘we are not there yet.’
While Victoria may not appear to be so keen on the idea of grandchildren, Brooklyn has been very honest about wanting to start a family, and soon.
Brooklyn said in August 2022 that he wanted to have no less than 10 children with his wife Nicola.
The budding chef, 24, claimed it’s been his ‘dream’ to become a young dad and is hoping to start a family ‘soon’ with the heiress, 27.
He told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I’ve always wanted to be a young dad and I would love to have a family soon, but whenever my wife is ready.
‘I could have like 10, but her body… it’s her decision.’
The former photographer recently told Variety: ‘We would love to have a big family one day. We would love to have some of our own, and we would love to adopt. … It’ll be so cool to … have little Peltz Beckhams running around.’
He went on to reveal Nicola – whose father is billionaire businessman Nelson, 80 – has an instinct that their firstborn will be a boy.
While Brooklyn is the eldest of four children by parents David, 48, and Victoria Beckham, 48, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12, Nicola is one of nine.
Her brother Brad, 33, is a former ice hockey player, having played for the Trenton Titans until 2013, while their older brother Will, 37, is an actor.
Sister Brittany Peltz, 33, is a fashion influencer while Matthew, 38, has been the director of Wendy’s Co since 2015.
Diesel, 28, created a hangout app for friends titled Twenty, and twins Zachary and Gregory, 18, are students.
Brooklyn and Nicola recently addressed ‘cold war’ rumours with his mother Victoria, dismissing claims that the two women are locked in a feud.
Referencing the speculation, Nicola said she believes it all started when she didn’t wear a Victoria Beckham designed wedding dress for the nuptials in April and instead opted for Valentino couture.
She told Variety: ‘I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started.’
Brooklyn, in a rather muted defence, added: ‘Everyone gets along, which is good.’
