Full List: Osun APC Produces Only Female Candidate for NASS Primaries
The All Progressives Congress primaries in Osun State for the 2027 general elections into the Senate and House of Representatives have been concluded.
The party’s primary election committee announced the winners of Saturday’s exercise across the three senatorial districts and nine federal constituencies in the state.
The declaration was made by the Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee, Bayo Ayo in Osogbo.
Senatorial Candidates
Osun Central Senatorial District – Barrister Kayode Adegoke (K-RAD)
Osun East Senatorial District – Senator Francis Fadahunsi
Osun West Senatorial District – Dr Akin Ogunbiyi
House of Representatives Candidates
Ibraheem Taofeek Kayode – Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency
Hon. Mrs. Taiwo Oluga – Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency
Hon. Oluwole Oke – Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency
Dr Adebisi Obawale – Boluwaduro/Ila/Ifedayo Federal Constituency
Hon. Eniade Francis Damilare – Boripe/Ifelodun/Odo Otin Federal Constituency
Hon. David Asalu – Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency
Hon. Sanya Ominrin – Atakunmosa East/Atakunmosa West/Ilesa East/Ilesa West Federal Constituency
Prince Ademola Adedapo – Iwo/Ayedire/Olaoluwa Federal Constituency
Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro – Ife Central/Ife North/Ife East/Ife South Federal Constituency
Some aspirants were also reported to have withdrawn from the race on the day of the primaries.
Among the winners, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, Hon. Oluwole Oke, Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro and Hon. Mrs. Taiwo Oluga are seeking a return to the National Assembly, while others are fresh entrants.
However, Hon. Mrs. Taiwo Oluga remains the only female candidate produced by the APC in Osun State for the National Assembly elections ahead of the 2027 general polls.
The APC candidates are expected to face candidates from other political parties during the February 2027 general elections.
