Abia Youths Commends Uche Ogah’s Landmark In Mining Sector

A sociopolitcal in the fold of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Abia State, Youths for Progressive Alliance (YFPA), has lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the current political and economic stability in Nigeria despite some daunting challenges associated with security of the country.

The group also commended the President for choosing Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah to serve in the current cabinet as federal minister of State for Mines and Steel Development,

The group adding that Dr Ogah’s unblemished leadership acumen as exhibited in the present administration, through his policies and programmes in the ministry of mines, has consolidated the massive acceptability of the APC in Abia, southeast region and the country as a whole, as party that believes in Infrastructural development.

The YFPA said that Dr Uche Ogah’s appointment into the federal cabinet has significantly rised the bar in mines and steel Development sector, as the latter’s ministry has equally recorded immense strides in raising the nation’s revenue base, whereby the federal government makes judicious use of the revenues generated from mines and steel driven business Investments in the enhancement of the economy, as well as Infrastructural growth of the country.

The group’s position was contained in a statement by its President, Comrade Emmanuel Nwabuko and the Publicity Secretary, Chinedu Emereuwa and issued to journalists in Umuahia, at the end of its enlarged meeting held in Abia hotels, Umuahia.

It came on the heels of Buhari-led federal government’s tradition of subjecting its projects and programs implementation to independent and critical self-review,” through sector reporting during cabinet meetings and at retreats.

DAILY POST reported that two ministers were sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to live up to the expectations in their various ministries after a critical review execrise embarked upon by the federal government.

However, the Youths for Progressive Alliance said the Honorable minister, Dr Ogah has achieved feats in governace of the Nigeria a facelifts propagated on hardwork, transparency, accountability, competence and fear of God.

The group stated that the review execrise has solidified the President Muhammadu Buhari’s confidence in Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, and as well as that of ndigbo, that the latter has shown capacity and chrisma in boosting the economic development of the country through mining.

The Abia youths urged the minister to remain focus and never be deterred in his avowed commitment for a new and greater Nigeria where basic amenities are brought to the every doorsteps of Nigeria populaces towards enhancing their welfares.

The Youths For Progressive Alliance (YFPA) further said the people of Abia state are pleased to have a dependable voice in the federal the person of the Mines and Steel Minister of State who has demonstrated exemplary leadership which has surpassed that of former ministers of Abia orijin since after the creation of the state.

The youth organization also lauded the president for keeping faith in the Honorable Minister, Dr. Ogah in his administration’s visionary policies and programmes in turning around the economic prospects of the country, describing the latter as the best thing to happen to Nigeria.

The APC youth body said that apart of the gains recorded in the public service via ministerial position in the mining sector, Dr. Ogah has extinguished himself in the private sector ranging from industrialization, which had engaged thousands of unemployed people into manufacturing of all assorted through Master’s Business conglomerate.

According to the Youths For Progressive Alliance, “the Minister had also through his private business sector driven before sojourn into politics, made appreciable encouragement and support to the empowerment programme of the successive governments in Abia state which has no doubt made thousands of teeming Abia youths, men and women owning cars in order to be self dependent.

“It is equally on record that Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah has attracted most of the social investment programmes of the federal government of Nigeria in the state and southeast has continued to record successes in turning unemployed teeming Nigerian youths as business owners under the federal government’s promotion of small and medium scale business enterprises (SMEs) helping towards ensuring economic stability in the country.

“The youths of Abia state thanks the president in giving the country a best brains, the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, and we also congratulate the minister for justifying the national assignment and the oath of office sworen during his inauguration following the impressive review of his ministry’s policies in the Mining and Steel Development Sector carried out by the federal government.

“We reiterate that the critical review execrise embarked by the government and as well as the President’s confidence in the minister is clear indication that Dr. Ogah has more to offer in advancement of democracy in the country.

“We call on Abians, ndigbo and the Nigerians as a whole to continue to sustain their unalloyed supports and cooperation to Dr. Ogah as he has once again demonstrated true democratic governance built on integrity, principle and hard work, “the group concluded.
