A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Honourable Bukola Ojuade has described as window dressing the widely publicized acclaimed achievements of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke in the last one year in office.
He said the self-acclaimed achievements by the Government is a propaganda to hoodwink the unsuspected people of the state, saying any PDP administration is not known for performance but jamboree.
Ojuade noted that the party should stop deceiving the people with white elephant projects by dishing out lies to people in the name of celebrating one year in office. “The Governor has just started governance, he should be focused instead of celebrating lies as achievements”.
The APC stalwart reminded Adeleke that it is too early to be celebrating as the government is still fresh and focused his energy on infrastructural projects that would benefit all and sundry.
“I don’t see anything the Governor has done that called for celebration as being witnessed in the state presently. The government is still fresh, all he has done is a did not merit with the huge amount the government received from the federal government.
“The Governor is a student in the art of governance. Though, he needs not to be told how to govern the state unfortunately he is not ready to face the reality’, Ojuade said.
He said Adeleke’s administration is a worst in the history of the state, saying those projects the goverment is referring to as achievements are phantom projects. “The people have made mistake of imposing Adeleke on Osun State. There is nothing tangible on ground to show for his achievements in one year”
Ojuade posited that the administration usually display incompetent and ignorance in governance through policy summersaults and clamped down on perceived opposition, the instance of this, is the controversial removal of Justice Adepele Ojo, Osun Chief Justice without following due process.
He berated Adeleke for running a clannish goverment, adding that it is obvious that the Governor lacks the competence, knowledge and capacity to govern a state like Osun, which had reflected in the monumental failure that enveloped every stratum of governance in the state.
“If the money accruing to Osun in the past months, was made available whole APC goverment was in the saddle, it would have done better than what it did. Despite the fact that there was no much money then, it managed the available fund and did better. All what this administration is brandishing are ruse”, Ojuade declared.
He urged Adeleke to change his lackadaisical style of governance with a view to give dividends of democracy to the people of Osun State and stop all actions capable of reversing the state to the inglorious era of development.
