..asks other aspirants eyeing the seat to wait for their turn
Ahead of Saturday primary Election, members of a socio-political group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF), have given the candidature of the state Governor , Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola a pat in the back, asking other aspirants eyeing the seat to wait for their turn.
Members of the group at a press conference held in Osogbo, on Friday unanimously endorsed the Governor for second term in office following his unprecedented achievements within the space of three years.
Addressing the pressmen , the State Coordinator of the group , Comrade Sikiru Tijani said the members of the group unanimously agreed to endorsed the Governor as the only candidate in the coming APC Primary Election billed to hold tomorrow, Saturday 19, 2022.
According to the Coordinator, the number one citizen has done tremendously well in the area of Infrastructural and human development.
AGF Coordinator noted that Oyetola had done what no any Governor in the history of the state deemed necessary to be done in the distribution of political appointments among the youths of the state.
He said: “Members of the noble foundation decided to endorse Oyetola after assessing his remarkable and unprecedented achievements in the last three years.
“Our amiable Governor is a man of outstanding leadership traits and professional know-how, many youths in the state our foundation in particular and the State in general have benefitted from these qualities in no small measure.
The AGF highlighted a number of commendable projects undertaken by Oyetola, said the foundation was resolute in ensuring that excellence is enthroned yet again.
“AGF members during our meeting highlighted the performance of His Excellency, despite the meager resources available to the State, hence our resolve to support our Governor to lead the State for another term of four years.
“We also express gratitude to the government of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, for the necessary recognition accorded our group as major stakeholders in the Osun project. As a matter of fact , member of our group are among the local government appointees. They were being appointed in one position or the other at their various local government areas”
Also Speaking, the secretary of the foundation, Comrade Yahaya Adeniji
who described Oyetola’s Administration as one that cares for all, reiterated the group commitment to work for his return to office come July 16, 2022.
He however called on members of the group to prove that they are serious about their open endorsement, by doing their Voter’s registration and turning out in large numbers to vote for him tomorrow and on the gubernatorial election date.
