The Chief of Staff to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye has urged residents of Osun State to come out massively and cast their votes for all House of Assembly candidates contesting under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the coming Saturday’s election.
Akinleye who made the appeal while addressing some youths in Ede on Wednesday said residents of the state should come out en masses to exercise their civic rights come Saturday, March 18.
According to the Ede born political mobiliser, there was the need for the people of the state especially electorates to cast their votes for all PDP candidates so as for the party to have total control of the house to pave way for good governance in the state.
Akinleye who expressed optimism that the party would triumph come Saturday appreciated the people of the state for standing firm and ensure all the party candidates emerged victorious during the February 25 Federal House of Assembly elections in the state.
He said: “I want to appeal to the residents of the Osun state to come out massively come Saturday March 18 and cast their votes for all the PDP candidates so as to continue to enjoy the good work our amiable governor is doing. I want to appreciate them for their resolute and for standing firm. They trooped out during the February 25 elections to ensure all our candidates emerged victorious.
“However, I am using this opportunity to enjoin the good people of Osun to replicate the same gesture come Saturday March 18. They should pleas vote for all our candidates because PDP needs to be in full control of the House of Assembly to deliver good governance. We promise never to disappoint our people as they go to the polls to vote PDP again on Saturday.
He, however, charged the people of the state to eschew any act capable of causing trouble in the state before, during and after the election.
