The Osun Progressives (TOP) has called on all peace loving members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to turn out in large numbers on Saturday, July 31, 2021 for the scheduled ward Congress.

State Chairman of the Caucus, Reverend Adelowo Adebiyi said this on Friday while addressing members of TOP who attended the weekly meeting of the Caucus at the Oranmiyan House, Osogbo.

Rev. Adebiyi who noted that it was a duty they owed the genuine Progressives political ideals and platform to ensure that men with character, capacity and compassion are elected to steer the affairs of the party aright.

According to him, it was the choice of men with right presence of mind with strong political will that could receeate and strengthen APC for future greatness of winning elections without stress.

He urged all members of APC to arrive their ward collation centres early on Saturday to cast their votes for all the already carefully chosen candidates of the TOP Caucus in all wards to suite the needed characteristics that bring out the best for a rebranded Osun APC.

Rev Adebiyi who expressed the need for members of TOP Caucus to be of exemplary character urged them to shun actions which could cause disruption of the election proceedings but also urged them to resist such any other group or Caucus from doing same.

The pioneer Chairman of Osun APC also urged them to keenly follow through the directives and procedures of the National Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning committee on the Congress as some other Caucus such as IleriOluwa have clearly been circumventing them.

He expressed hope for the triumph of truth as represented by the TOP with massive election of it’s members on Saturday so that the APC can serve its purpose as election winning platform.

Rev. Adebiyi urged the state Congress committee been expected from the national Secretariat of APC not to submit to the ambush by government machinery in the IleriOluwa and exercise judicious fairness, equity and justice in the conduct of Saturday Congress for all APC’s stakeholders and the sake of a strong party itself.
