The Federal and State Governments have been charged to establish a supportive environment that will empowers artists to leverage on creative economy.
This was disclosed by Kunle Buraimoh at the 16th Susanne Wenger memorial anniversary organized for young talented secondary school students in Osun state, held in Osogbo.
Buraimoh who was represented by Prince Adekunle Fatai urged the both states and federal government to declare a day for artists to showcase their artwork.
He commended the organizer for organizing a programme that is promoting and motivating the young kids to engage in arts.
He said that his foundation will incorporate and exhibit the artworks of the children whose participated in contest in Susanne Wenger colocum that will help in August this year.
He said, “There is nothing stop the government to declare a day for artists to come and showcase all their artwork tag for sale inviting people to come over buy it and commission goes to government cover, this will encourage artists to do more.
According to him, “We have talented artists in Nigeria, Osun state in particular, government needs to be proactive in listening and providing for their needs for example is not out of place if we have a national theater or a big studio build by government that has all necessary facilities are provided which artists can go there do their production.
“The government should encourage them so that the youths of nowadays can be off the street and venture to arts.” he added.
One of the organisers of the Super Kids World, Prince Adenle Martins charged parents to help their kids identify talents at early stage, stressing need to start working for the future champions, as the group targets one million Nigerian talented kids before year 2030 in every aspect of life.
He said, “At the Super Kids World, we run organization to raise the next generation of future leaders in every aspect of life from sports to arts , ICT and communication.
